Middle Africa, Heavy Mineral Sands
Investigation of titanium distribution in a placer deposit. Project management of mineral processing testwork (PSD by sieve size analysis, Mozley table separation, dense media separation and magnetic separation), XRD and XRF assays. Mineralogical investigation by optical microscopy on testwork products: mineralogical description, modal analysis, liberation and locking, annotated photomicrographs. Key minerals: rutile, pseudorutile, ilmenite, zircon, kyanite.

Ukranian Heavy Mineral Sands
Investigation of an ilmenite/ siderite concentrate to determine the amount and locking relationships of carbonate minerals and to reconcile conflicting QEMSCAN and chemical assay data. Key minerals: altered ilmenite, leucoxene, pseudorutile, siderite, hematite, limonite.

North Sea Jurassic Sandstone
Detailed petrographic description and quantitative modal analysis of sandstone drill core: composition, grain and pore size distribution, sphericity, sorting, roundness, clay matrix and cement composition.

Norwegian Eclogite
Detailed petrographic description and quantitative modal analysis of a medium-grained, hornblende eclogite aggregate. Key minerals: hornblende, plagioclase feldspar, calcite, garnet, clinopyroxene.

Italian High Purity Quartz Concentrate
Investigation of final non-magnetic concentrate of high purity quartz for fibre optic manufacture. Mineralogical description, identification of contaminants, abundance and associations. Key minerals: quartz, metallic iron shards, limonite.

Thai Glass Sands
Mineralogy of raw materials for glass manufacture, identification of heavy mineral contaminants (particularly chrome, iron and titanium). Key minerals: quartz, tourmaline, magnetite, ilmenite, zircon, chromite.

Scrap Electronics Recyling
Identification and investigation of the composition of electronic scrap using a combination of transmitted and reflected light optical microscopy, ultraviolet examiantion and SEM/EDS analysis. Key minerals/ phases: ceramics (complexes of Al and Si with Ti, Pb, Mn, Zn, Cr, Co, Ag and Au), metallics (Cu, Pb, Sn), tourmaline, zircon, pyroxene.

Middle Africa, Nepheline Syenite
Investigation of head samples from a nepheline syenite deposit. Mineralogical investigation by optical microscopy: mineralogical description, modal analysis, liberation and locking, annotated photomicrographs. Key minerals: nepheline and albite, microcline, sodium amphibole, pyroxene, biotite, magnetite, zircon.

Brazillian Marble
Petrographic description of metamorphosed impure limestones. Key minerals: calcite, dolomite, wollastonite, diopside, quartz.

Turkish Marble
Brief petrographic report on high purity calcite marble. Key minerals: calcite, limonite.
