Petrolab welcomes Daniel Manns

Petrolab are delighted to welcome Daniel Manns. Daniel Manns is a recent Geology graduate from the University of Lancaster and the University of Iceland, where he has just completed a Master of Science. During his time studying he undertook a detailed study of plagioclase megacrysts within a volcanic system and as part of that gained valuable experience in sample preparation, thin section manufacture and petrography. He gained experience of laboratory work was through an internship with InVOLCAN in Tenerife, where he analysed soil gas samples through micro-chromatography (microGC) and quadrupole mass spectrometry (QMS). As a result of these working experiences, he is well-versed in laboratory code of conduct, safety, and maintenance. He joins Petrolab during one of its busiest periods, and has already made a great start on the sample preparation workload.
